A new luxury escorted tour, The Story of Tea, has been launched by tailor-made specialist Indus Tours. Departing March 1 2008, the 15-night tour is based in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) and the Glenburn Tea Estate in the foothills of Darjeeling. It is guided by Colonel John Swanston, an experienced traveller, naturalist, ornithologist and photographer. The price of £2250 per person, based on two sharing, includes international and internal flights, all taxes, half-board accommodation, transport and sightseeing and visa fees for India.
