Eurostar: Launches promo tour |

Eurostar is to launch a 50-city, five-month national tour on May 8 to promote the benefits of High Speed 1, the UK's first high-speed rail link between St Pancras International and the Channel Tunnel. The train operator will switch operations from Waterloo to St Pancras on November 14 2007 and a new intermediate station, Ebbsfleet International in North Kent, will open a few days later. The Eurostar campaign is designed to showcase the facilities at both new stations and get the message across that journey times to Europe will be shortened by 23-25 minutes, more people will have access to Eurostar services and a genuine alternative to short-haul flights and that incoming tourism will also benefit.
