Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands names Holland America Line's new Signature-class ship ms Eurodam at a ceremony in Rotterdam on July 1 2008. Following its maiden voyage to the Baltic and inaugural Europe season, the 2104-passenger ship will sail its first transatlantic cruise followed by a series of Canada/New England sailings in the autumn and Caribbean cruises at the end of the year. Holland America Line is to run a series of departures from UK ports next summer, deploying its smallest ship, 793-passenger Prinsendam, on cruises from Greenwich and Dover.
