YOTEL: Opens at Gatwick July 1 PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 22 June 2007

A YOTEL, based on an idea by Yo! Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe, is to open at Gatwick's South Terminal on July 1 2007, the first hotel to be located inside an airport in the UK.

Stays must be for a minimum of four hours which costs £25 in a Standard cabin, £40 in Premium. Overnight stays cost £55 in Standard, £80 in Premium.

Initially featuring 46 Premium and Standard cabins (with Economy cabins to be added in the future), the concept is based on Japanese capsule hotels and Business Class air travel - the cabins sleep two people and have en suite bathrooms, free WiFi and internet access, entertainment systems and room service.

Other YOTELS, including a 32-cabin facility at Heathrow's Terminal 4, are planned.
