Southampton Airport has invested over £3 million in new check-in and baggage facilities in time for summer 2008. The new facilities include three additional check-in desks, and Flybe has installed a further 10 new self-service kiosks including two in the short-stay car park allowing passengers to check in en route to the terminal building. Additionally, passengers also have the option to check-in online in advance of their flight, to save time at the airport. The airport has also invested in a major upgrade to the baggage systems, enabling bags to be processed more quickly and with the latest security technology.
