Following the launch of twice-daily weekday flights from Aberdeen to Stavangerin August 2007, Eastern Airways has announced that it will increase the service to three each weekday from October 22. Then, from October 28, the airline will add a Sunday service. Weekday flights will depart from Aberdeen at 0700, 1225 and 1720, arriving in Stavanger at 0910, 1435 and 1930 local time. Services from Stavanger take off at 0940, 1640 and 1955, landing in Aberdeen at 0950, 1650 and 2005 local time. The Sunday service will depart Aberdeen at 1720 and Stavanger at 1955. The additional flights are in response to demand from both business and leisure travellers. Stavanger boasts fine seafood restaurants and many tourist attractions and is to be the European capital of Culture 2008. Eastern Airways offers onward UK services from Aberdeen to Bristol, Durham Tees Valley, East Midlands, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton, Stornoway and Wick.
