Delta: Resumes Edinburgh-Atlanta route

Delta Air LInes has announced that it will resume the Edinburgh-Atlanta route for summer 2008. Nonstop flights will operate between June 2 and October 1 2008 and will complement new year-round service between Edinburgh and New York-JFK, beginning May 1. The service will also give passengers from Scotland access to Delta's 31 trans-Atlantic destinations via its Atlanta hub.

The Edinburgh-Atlanta route will be operated using Boeing 757-200 aircraft with two classes. Flights will initially operate three times weekly (on Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and then daily from July 2 until October 1.
