Turkish Airlines: To launch BHX-Istanbul |

December 15 2008 is to be the launch date of Turkish Airlines' new route between Birmingham and Istanbul. The five-times weekly service will also offer onward flight links within Turkey, the Middle East and the Far East through Turkish Airlines' established route network. A Boeing 737-800 will be deployed on the route, with a dual cabin configuration of 135 seats in economy and 20 in club. Outbound Monday and Thursday flights will depart at 11.30am, while Tuesday, Friday and Sunday services will depart at 1.15pm. Fares start from £180 return, including all taxes.
